Here is a beautiful recent result where a combination of empress veneers and porcelain to zirconium bridges were combined. The technology of the porcelain to zirconium has progressed tremendously in the last few years to where the esthetic results match that of empress restorations which are the standard in cosmetic dentistry. This case was done in one visit in less than 2 hours! Bonding is very conservative to the tooth structure and is about one third the cost of veneers. Its biggest drawback is over time it can discolor and pick up stains. Regular polishing of the bonding and being careful about coffee, tea and smoking can also prolong the life expectancy.
